The Bamiléké people are an ethnic group of Cameroon. They make up 4.9% of the total population and reside mostly in their ancestral home, which is on the Western highlands of the country. Buell, who has led over fifty expeditions to the region, believes that this necklace was made primarily for export as it features a buffalo horn and beads from Nigeria. The white beads are made out of ivory! Asonglefack Harison from Britain
